Flight Lieutenant Gary Lewry An ex-Cadet Warrant Officer on this squadron, was commissioned into 1304 (Chippenham) Squadron. Took Wing Staff post as Physical Education Officer and subsequently rejoined us. Awarded command of this squadron in late 2002. Main specialities are sports and Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme. |

Warrant Officer Ralph Hilliard A former TA Senior NCO Ralph was in command of our Detached Flight at Upavon keeping the unit open after the RAF station was closed. He transferred to the main squadron in February 1999. Specialises in Fieldcraft and takes an active role in NCO training. |

Warrant Officer Barney Wiles Formerly a Cadet Sergeant on the squadron, became a Civilian Instructor in early 1998. Teaches at First Class level and was appointed as Warrant Officer in February 1999. Specialities are Fieldcraft Training, First Aid and Round the Pole flying. Has taken over the
organisation of the annual Easter Camps on Salisbury Plain. |

Flight Lieutenant (Retired) Steve Brown Former commander of 2238 (Warminster) Squadron, he now teaches both there and at Devizes as a Civilian Instructor. An ace navigator and keen ornithologist. He is involved with the restoration to flying condition of a Meteor T7 which is taking place in the gymnasium at the former RAF Yatesbury. Instructs at Senior/Staff level. |

Junior Technician Sam Davis, RAF A former Cadet Corporal of the squadron, attended as a Service Instructor teaching at First Class level. Specialities are propulsion and fieldcraft. Completed a Junior Technician Course at RAF Cosford during 2000 and now posted to RAF Marham. Is seen at our unit surprisingly often ! |

Warrant Officer Mike Tarrant Continuous service from young cadet to being Wing Warrant Officer for Dorset & Wiltshire ~ all of his time has been with the same unit until November 2000 when he transferred to 2491 (Lyneham) Sqn to ease a staff shortage there and to encourage the self development of the younger Warrant Officers at Devizes.. His wife Lesley was a key member of the catering team for the squadron Easter camps. Awarded the Lord Lieutenant's Certificate for Meritorious Service and wears the Cadet Forces Medal with clasp for over 21years service. |

Flying Officer Rob Hick Seen here in as Flight Sergeant, Rob undertook an Officer Training Course at RAF Cranwell during 2000 passing out in the rank of Flying Officer. . Until February 2000 he was an Air Loadmaster on 70 Squadron RAF flying Hercules (C130) all over the world but still found time to be a service instructor with the squadron and to organise activities including orienteering. Holds a Private Pilot's Licence |

Reverend Tom MacMeekin, Chaplain From late 1991 until mid 2000 Tom was our very active Chaplain and Pastor of St Andrew's United Reformed Church (Congregational) in Devizes. American, ex National Guard
cavalry, loved to come on our field exercises taking an active role. Very
visible at Easter camp fitting long visits to us in between his pastoral
duties at village chapels. Tom is now based in Ongar, Essex |

Flight Lieutenant (Retired) Gordon Rees MBCS Seen here at a favourite place ~ New Joined 2397(Devizes) Sqn as Civilian
Instructor in 1988, commissioned in April 1989. Appointed Commanding Officer
in November 1991. Stood down from command in August 2000. Transferred to 2385(Melksham) Sqn and
retired from adult service in April 2002.

Warrant Officer Rob Swanson (Now Plt Off) Joined the squadron in January 1991 and rose
to the rank of Cadet
Warrant Officer before being appointed Adult Warrant Officer in June 1999. Transferred to 2238(Warminster) Sqn and commissioned during 2002. |

Flight Lieutenant Geoff Ellen Commissioned
in 1995, he
commanded 68 (Westbury) and 2238 (Warminster) Sqns
before taking command at Devizes in August 2000. Had
a keen interest in Adventure Training being Wild Country qualified and ran the
Wing Adventure Training Camps at Llanbedr. Resigned from the ATC in late 2002. |
